DYS-centrum Praha z. ú. has had a twenty-five-year experience of work with people with reading and other learning difficulties (e.g. ADHD, dyscalculia, etc.), their families and their teachers. DYS-centrum can provide a variety of assessment and intervention approaches. DYS-centrum offers both psychological and education assessment. Furthermore, it was one of the first institutions in the country which implemented dynamic assessment into the work with people with learning difficulties. This is a rather novel approach to the assessment which primarily focuses on the process of learning. Its aim is not to come to a diagnosis but to thoroughly describe the process of one’s learning and thinking (one’s strengths and weaknesses). The dynamic assessment is appropriate to teachers’ work with students with learning difficulties within a classroom and class instructions. It is definitely an inclusive assessment approach..
